Yin Qiao San originates from Wen Bing Tiao Bian (Systematic Differentiation of Warm Diseases), written by Wu Jutong, a medical scholar of the Qing Dynasty. It works to disperse wind‑heat from the exterior and clear internal heat‑toxins. It is especially suitable for the early onset of externally contracted wind‑heat warm‑disease. Widely applied for many years, it is one of the commonly‑used modern herbal formulas for easing cold‑related discomforts。
